Hoerskool Marais Viljoen Shines at NWU Prestige Series in Potchefstroom

The North-West University (NWU) Prestige Series, a renowned multi-sport event designed to showcase school-level athletic excellence, recently welcomed cross-country competitors from across the country - including a standout team from Hoerskool Marais Viljoen in Alberton.

Held on April 22 in Potchefstroom, North West, the event saw Marais Viljoen's cross-country teams deliver impressive performances across the board. The junior team secured a well-deserved third place overall, demonstrating outstanding skill and teamwork against stiff competition.

Meanwhile, the senior team battled fiercely, ultimately claiming a respectable fifth place in a challenging field of seasoned competitors. As a collective, Marais Viljoen High School ranked fourth overall, a testament to their dedication and strong sporting culture.

In a statement, the school extended gratitude to its supporters:
